Welcome to Work Safety
The digitalization of today’s world and the technological advances that have accompanied have changed the way we communicate with each other and the way we receive information. In this form of digital transformation has continuing education through digital media also moved more and more into focus as well as thus also become a continuing part of the in-service-training and education of companies.
What are my obligations as an employer?
A safe working environment and excellent health management are important aspects of a successful and productive company. As an employer, you are obliged to take certain organisational measures to ensure the safety and health of employees at work.
Is occupational safety training profitable for my employees?
Employers as well as employees benefit from further training in the field of occupational safety and health promotion since healthy employees are the basis for a successful and healthy company.
Adequate work safety measures not only reduce the risk of accidents and thus sickness absence of the employees, which cost the company time and money, but also increase the motivation of the employees through clean and safe workplaces.
- The ILO (International Labour Organization) estimates that some 2.3 million women and men around the world succumb to work-related accidents or diseases every year; this corresponds to over 6000 deaths every single day.
- Worldwide, there are around 340 million occupational accidents and 160 million victims of work-related illnesses annually.
- In 2017, more than one third (36.5 %) of the 3.3 million non-fatal accidents that took place at work in the Europe Union occurred when a person was at their usual workstation.
