E-learning – a suitable instruction medium?

E-Learning als Unterweisungsmedium

Is e-learning a suitable medium for instruction? Especially last year, it was proven that learning also works entirely online. Without the dependence on time and place, knowledge could be imparted with the help of electronic media, and thus the learning process could be advanced. Companies are also hoping for this advantage concerning in-company vocational training. There is a desire to relieve the burden on managers by carrying out some of the prescribed instructions online. The question in focus here is to what extent e-learning is effective in this area and when and how it can be used.

When E-learning makes sense in vocational training

The aim of workplace training is to acquire competencies about safety and health at work. To learn these competencies, training and application are necessary. With exclusively digital instruction, this practical experience would be missing. Accordingly, in most cases, face-to-face instruction must not be missing.

A hybrid model, in which classroom teaching is supplemented with digital learning elements, proves to be particularly efficient. In this way, the employee can acquire basic knowledge with the help of electronic media and then apply and practice this knowledge in the subsequent practical phase. In this way, e-learning content can be integrated into the training concept so that you can support managers in preparing employees and relieve them at the same time.[1]
